Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Valparaiso

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic caregiver to join our team to provide care to our 86-year-old mom who has Parkinson's Disease and dementia. Duties include assisting with personal care (toileting, dressing, & grooming), providing mobility assistance (transfers to/from bed, wheelchair, recliner, & toilet), serving meals, engaging in social activities, redirecting (as needed), transporting to appointments, & light housekeeping. The successful candidate should possess an understanding of dementia and a willingness to collaborate with the family and other caregivers on the team to find ways to engage Mom so that she feels needed & loved. Desired qualifications: 2 or more years of caregiving experience, CNA training, dementia training. Must be a non-smoker and Covid-vaccinated.
