Seeking Full-time Senior Care Provider .

About who needs care: My father has dementia . He is bed bound. We are looking for a second caregiver so that we can give our full time caregiver a couple of days off a week. He gets a shower every day. A Hoya Lift is used to transport him to the shower wheelchair. He then has his breakfast and morning meds. Our caregiver will sit him up in a chair so he's not in the bed all day. She does light housekeeping-laundry, dishes, sweeping floor. Then she prepares his lunch. She will usually change him again after lunch in the afternoon. She provides dementia type toys or finds TV programs that are fun and uplifting. She will then put him back to bed and change him again around 5:30 or 6:00 for the evening. About the care needs: We need a person that is soft spoken and super caring. Someone that takes time to explain to him what is being done- I am going to take you for a shower and then get you some breakfast. Experience working with dementia patients. Able to use Hoya Lift and transport to shower using a shower wheelchair and the shower ramps. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
