About who needs care: Very engaging, smart, friendly, kind person. Taught grade school for 42 years. Enjoys conversation, but also likes to listen to her audiobooks. Main health problem is arthritis, especially bad in right knee. Uses wheelchair for transfers, but able to stand up and move from chair/bed to wheelchair. Has her own sitting room. Enjoys sharing meals. Her ideal day would be time to listen to audiobooks, and have conversation. Enjoys her naps. About the care needs: Personality type that would be a good fit: friendly, kind, enjoys conversation,, compassionate and understanding, flexible. No specialized skills other than helping with transfer to wheelchair and some assistance with dressing, toileting at times. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
