About who needs care: Recovering from broken bones and is in a neck brace for next few weeks. Walks with difficulty on crutches. Prefers to do what he can for himself, but needs some help bathing and dressing and preparing meals. Is very interested in many things but has been focusing lately on mending his bones from several falls. Was a competitive cyclist for decades but is having much difficulty lately just walking. His day is structured mostly around meals and just living. Loves dogs, especially his own who is being cared for by a friend. If he had regular help he could perhaps have his dog with him again. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver would be patient and have empathy for a person who was once very athletic and is now constrained by his circumstances. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
