Seeking a caring, loving & experienced caregiver for LIVE-IN position. Our mother, in her 90's, has some memory loss, but is conversant and coherent. Mom likes game shows, movies & her favorite sports teams. She has had live-in care for four yrs., since suffering a heart attack. Although stable, her condition has deteriorated. She uses a walker, but needs assistance with all mobility; walking, toileting & transferring. In home OT & PT 2 x /week helps! Oxygen at night and uses a nebulizer for the day. Caregiver will perform bathing, meal prep (heart healthy) and light housework. Family is supportive and pitches in when needed and visits often. Back-up support for days off and emergencies is also sought. Seeking someone skilled in elder care, yes, but also one who can show our mother humor, comfort and moments to remember.
