Seeking Full-time Senior Care Provider In Crown Point

About who needs care: My Dad has MS so has limited mobility. He relies on a wheelchair and can do some maneuvering on his own but needs support. He also has two types of cancer, one he has fought off and the other (melanoma) he has kept at bay. The melanoma did show up as a tumor in his brain, which has since been removed, but impacted the use of his left hand (not his dominant hand). On top of everything, he is battling kidney failure and now needs to go to dialysis three times a week. The dialysis is the bulk of his appointments. He goes three times a week, for about 3 hours. My Mom has been managing his care on her own but she is not fully equipped. We are looking for some home healthcare to give her support. For the most part, my Dad is happy hanging at home - watching his favorite movies and shows, reading, talking to his friends and family. We have ramps to get in and out of the house, but this person would help with dressing, bathroom, maybe bathing, making sure he is eating and taking his pills, transferring him from wheelchair to chair, bed or commode, and maybe getting him to dialysis and home. We really just need someone to help my Mom carry the load. About the care needs: He is a pretty social guy but clearly all of this has taken a toll on him. We just someone who is personable, trained and trusted to be a regular presence and support system to my Dad and Mom. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
