We are looking to hire three caregivers for an elderly grandmother with memory loss. The position requires a great deal of patience. The senior involved has severe short-term memory loss. We can teach coping mechanisms and we expect you to develop your own coping mechanisms while maintaining a calm environment. Duties include: simple meal preparation and coaxing for eating, ensuring that the senior drinks enough fluids, very light housekeeping, weekly disposal of expired or spoiled foods, communication of grocery and household item needs, communication about safety hazards and appliance repair needs, communication about the well being of the senior, transportation to medical appointments, bringing in physical mail, help with electronic communication with family members, and other duties as the needs arise. Hebrew speaker huge plus.
