Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Woodstock

About who needs care: He is mentally sharp, loves to read the paper, watch sports. He has difficulty walking because of a bad back. That's his biggest issue. Recently he had a heart attack and so we are looking for him to have someone check in on him every day to make sure that he's doing OK and that he has a little assistance with basic household tasks. About the care needs: An great caregiver for my dad would be someone patient, compassionate, and engaging. He has a sharp mind and strong interest in business, sports and current events so a caregiver who can hold meaningful conversations and actively listen would be a great fit. He also would benefit from a companion who can offer a bit of friendship and watch a sports game every now and then with him. Due to a bad back he has limited mobility so it would be helpful if the caregiver is comfortable offering support for physical tasks, ensuring his safety while promoting as much independence as possible. Finally, he recently had a health issue with Afib so experience working with people who have had heart conditions would be great. Above all, we are hoping to find someone who is warm, reliable, and understanding. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
