Companion Care Needed For My Mother In Wilmette

About who needs care: My Mom (86) recovering from a broken pelvis. She will probably be discharged in about 3-4 weeks once she can be independent enough to function at home. She has done all the cooking and food shopping for herself and my dad (90). We hope to move them to independent living in a senior living community and are in the process of getting them interested in making that move. Meanwhile, I think they will welcome help when my mom gets home from her rehab. Regarding structure to their day, my dad always takes an afternoon walk. My mom's day has been centered around grocery shopping and meal prep. Both have friends they see regularly. They like the symphony, ballet and opera and they still go to performances About the care needs: Someone who's a good listener. My mom often defers decisions to my dad so someone who can draw out her opinions. Decisive, kind and patient. The person needs to speak clearly - my dad is hard of hearing. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
