About who needs care: My grandpa is in his mid 80s and recently lost his wife of 25 years. He lives in an apartment and will be needing assistance with meal prep, house keeping, med reminders, transportation and some personal cares. He has Parkinsons and can be forgetful at times. We are looking for someone who can come in a few hours a day or take him to doctor appointments. About the care needs: Experience with Parkinsons and Dementia. Someone who can handle a grump stubborn man (not all the time but he has his moments). Good communication skills, reporting and record keeping. Good driver and comfortable with taking him to appointments, grocery shopping and other errands Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
