About the care needs: What are you looking for in a caregiver? We are looking for someone who is bilingual in Spanish (preferred), kind, patient, and respectful. The caregiver should be physically capable of assisting with light lifting, helping my mom with mobility and using the restroom, and preparing meals if needed. Is there anything else we should know about your ideal caregiver? Its important that the caregiver is understanding and compassionate, as my mom is recovering from surgery and may need extra encouragement and support. A calm and positive personality would be a great fit. What type of personality would be a good fit? Someone warm, empathetic, and approachable. My mom would appreciate someone who can make her feel comfortable and cared for without being overly intrusive. Are there any specialized skills they need? Experience with post-surgical care and assistance with mobility would be helpful. They should also know how to safely help someone with limited mobility and have a basic understanding of preparing simple meals. Should they have any specific hobbies/interests? No specific hobbies are required, but it would be nice if they enjoy conversing in Spanish or can relate to my moms culture and preferences.
