About the job
About who needs care: Mom is primarily bed bound with a catheter. She resides in a nursing home for long-term care, and receives hospice care. She has a preliminary dementia diagnosis, which causes some disorientation. Friday, April 25th, we need to take her out of the nursing home in a wheelchair for the first time in a couple years, to attend my father's funeral. I am looking for a caregiver to accompany us that day for services and home for the memorial, as she may need some assistance with being changed or comfortable. About the care needs: We would like to work with someone that is empathetic and kind towards the elderly, and that can work with us through the grieving process that my mom is currently going through. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
