About the job
About who needs care: My dad has prostate and bone cancer and is currently undergoing treatment which has been extremely successful so far! He has diabetes and struggles with walking more than very short distances. He recently suffered a stroke however, has made almost 100% recovery. He likes football, baseball and reading the news. He typically starts his day with a breakfast and coffee and will read the news. He doesn't have many hobbies and he lives primarily alone so, it would be helpful to have someone come by during the week since my siblings and myself all work during the weekdays. He's not the most social person, but is recognizing that help would be beneficial. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver would be kind, patient and happy! It would be great if they were knowledgeable about diabetes and diabetes care. It would also be great if they could convince my dad to be more mobile and active. Services needed include: companionship, and mobility assistance.
