About who needs care: My Mom has short term memory loss, but can still interact and dress herself if someone picks out her clothes. She still plays the piano and enjoys having someone with her. She generally sleeps in until 9 or 10 a.m. and then breakfast and shower in the mornings. She enjoys word search puzzles and watching TV in the afternoons. About the care needs: Probably kindness and compassion would be the best personality traits to have. There are no specialized skills needed. A good conversationalist who can ask questions and enjoy hearing my Mom's childhood memories. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
