About who needs care: My Mom Sandy is legally blind and has stage 4 terminal inoperable lung cancer. She is on hospice and has 28 hours of care thru Menard Co. Senior Services. Caregivers come in the afternoon. My daughter Rachael lives with my Mom and works from home full time. We need someone reliable and skilled Mon.-Thurs. 8am-12 p.m. Also, possibly for a few hour on the weekend to allow my daughter to go to the store or to just have some free time to herself. Mom needs assistance with ADL. Meal prep and assistance at times with eating. Bathing and dressing. Mom can walk with assistance, uses a walker, BSC, Hospital bed, Transfer chair. About the care needs: We need someone that is hardworking, honest and knowledgeable. This person must love animals as feeding the animals in the am will be necessary as is letting them outside. We want someone to treat our Mom as if they were their family, with love, compassion, care and empathy. We have cameras and they will be observed and recorded. The ability to follow directions for Mom's care and to record the info, i. e, reading, writing and understanding English. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
