About who needs care: She has a beginning of Dememtia with alot of anxiety. She has been more recently afraid to stay by herself. She does not want to leave her home, as she has a small dog and cat indoors and a cat in the basement and a few in the garage, that she daily feeds and cares for. She does not want to leave them.
She needs encouragement to take showers. She can do some small food preperation, but would generally need help there. She does not watch TV, but has not minded it when her brother turned it on. She keeps a radio on low in the kitchen usually set to the local Morris station.
She really needs a 24 hr watch for her well-being and company.
She has family to take her to doctor appointments and other appointments, groceries, etc Her brother maintains her yard.
She is awake alot at night and often sleeps at the table with her head down. She would sleep in her day clothes, unless she was encouraged to do otherwise.
She does know how to run her washing machine and is normally a very clean person, no liter or hoarding. She just needs the encouragement to bathe herself.
About the care needs: 1. To speak English would be the main thing.
2. Encourage her to take her daily medicine and refill her pill box weekly. Ecourage baths/showers every few days.
3. Visit with her, assist her as she takes care of her animals.
4. She is naturally a very pleasant person and perhaps would like to go for walks when the weather is good. She has always taken care of outside flowers, but not a requirement as her brother maintains the outside.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
