About who needs care: Uses a walker but can manage stairs. She can do the laundry and cook meals. She doesn't drive. Her daughter (me) lives with her but needs to get away occasionally and doesn't like to leave her alone for long periods. I'd like someone to provide a bit of companionship and perhaps get some groceries. About the care needs: Mom loves to talk. A good fit would be someone who likes to talk about their ailments and surgeries! Mom's routine is always the same: awakens 8-ish, sponge bath in the laundry room, breakfast, putzes around the house, lunch at 11-ish, nap at 2-ish, more putting, dinner, tv, usually in bed by 9. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
