About the job
We need hands-on care in Lombard to help with my father who has a brain tumor. Days and times are flexible, but we would like a consistent schedule. My father is cognitively impaired and uses a walk/wheelchair to get around. Our ideal candidate would be comfortable making sure he uses his walker, help him get in and out of bed and help with bathing/dressing. We would also prefer someone who can help with light housekeeping like doing laundry and dishes. My dad also needs companionship-- he would love someone who can can keep him up-to-date with the latest sports news, so an ideal candidate would like watching baseball, basketball, and football. Duties might also include transportation (taking him to a park, running errands, etc.). Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and comfortable with a small, well-behaved dog.
