Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Lockport

About who needs care: My mom and father recently moved to our house. We created a private space for them in our basement. My father has dementia He needs help with all daily life skills. He thinks he is at work most of the time, so we have provided fidgets, simple puzzles, soft balls, and workbooks to try engage him. Unfortunately, he has lost interest in his hobbies due to the fact he doesn't remember them. He does enjoy sitting outside when the weather is nice. About the care needs: We need someone who understands people with dementia. They need to be calm, patient, quick thinking and creative to help distract and engage him. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
