About who needs care: Rich had 2 strokes. He has right side weakness. He uses a walker at all times. He also has Stage 4 kidney disease. To date, he has been able to perform his daily activities of living but is showing signs of decline. He wears Depends and can use the bathroom by himself. We are in the process of redoing our bathroom to be ADA accommodating. He is mostly homebound except for medical appts and some personal care. He is a fall risk but the Fire Department is always on call for fall assists. I've used them often. He is showing signs of early dementia. He can verbalize his needs. He speaks with a slight slur and you may have to ask him to repeat himself on occasion. . About the care needs: Non-smoker; we have a golden doodle and is "the perfect dog." Rich is 6 ft and 230 lbs. He will need help getting up on occasion. More than 60% of his day consists of sitting in his lift recliner, watching TV. There will be some laundry weekly and breakfast and/or lunch prep. Light clean-up. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
