About who needs care: My 64-year-old father was diagnosed with Corticobasal syndrome about a year ago. This is a rare form of atypical Parkinsons. As he continues to decline my mother will need more assistance in the home. I live out of state but have been coming about one week a month to support them. My Dad used to be an engineer and loved his work. He also used to lift weights and did so until about 6 months ago. He loves inspirational movies and worship music. His Christian faith is very important to him. About the care needs: He would enjoy time with a caregiver who shares his Christian faith and has a good sense of humor (dad jokes are the best)! He appreciates when those around him draw as little attention to the disease as possible and make him feel normal. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
