About who needs care: 88-year-old with Alzheimers needs assistance at home. Patient is hard of hearing and is a lip reader. Mobility is decreasing, and patient is requiring two person assistance. Caregiving has been performed by family up until this point, but more assistance is needed for transfers and toileting. About the care needs: Someone that is a good listener, and can hear the same stories over and over. Someone that can think of ways to entertain patient. Possibly do some PT exercises to build up strength. Caregiver should be strong enough to help transferring, and experience with toileting would be helpful. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
