Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Chicago

About who needs care: My stepfather has both Alzheimer and dementia and is unable to care for himself. My mom, the normal caregiver, is currently in the hospital and I am looking for assistance while my mom is unable to care for him. I want to make sure he is taking his meds and eating meals along with getting a bath every now and again. His meds need to be taken in the morning and in the evening. They have 2 cats who he loves and also need to be fed and have their cat litter cleaned. He loves to read and likes watching the news on TV. About the care needs: I am looking for a caregiver that has patience and understanding of the situation and prioritizes the health of the patient. Making sure they are doing well and can be ok when on their own by keeping their medications up to date, well fed and clean. Having experience with patients dealing with memory loss is a huge plus as patience is essential. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
