About who needs care: No underlying conditions. My mother is 97 and is still able to get around with a walker. She watches TV most of the day but it would be better if she were interested in something else. I would like for someone to do the little bit of laundry and dishes she has. I buy her food so all she needs is for someone to portion it out and heat in the microwave or toaster oven. If possible, thay can do her weekly med fill, if not I can do that. About the care needs: Someone that is easy going and likes to talk. It would be great if they could get her interested in something other than the TV. She watches Fox News all day so I don't want to offend anyone, nor do I want the caregiver to be upset with her. I am contacting several sources as I am just starting to look for caregivers. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
