Hands-on Care Needed For My Mother In Bloomington

About who needs care: My mother is currently residing in the Assisted Living section , a long term health care facility in Bloomington, IL. She has vascular dementia, and requires assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing. She is independent in most other tasks of daily living. She is a retired elementary school teacher who loves being around children. She loves music, theatre, and American History. She enjoys being around people with similar interests. She is a late riser and takes frequent naps. About the care needs: Someone with a terrific sense of humor, patience, love, and compassion. The ability to think strategically and problem solve when my mother is noncompliant (and can occasionally be combative) is a must. My mother does not like being addressed using any terms of endearment such as honey, sweetie, darling, etc. She also resents anyone talking to others about her in the third person when she is present (not acknowledging her). Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
