About who needs care: He is non-verbal and severely autistic. His parents will be at a class reunion, Class of 1964. During the four hours of activities, He will need to be fed and kept occupied. The caretaker can feed him at the caretakers home or we will pay for them to go to a restaurant. Activities can include hiking, playing in the park, doing puzzles or easy simple projects. He is fascinated by watching people work. Auto mechanics, carpenters, heavy equipment operators, ditch diggers, are all FASCINATING for him. He does not like TV or movies. About the care needs: A man or assertive woman would be necessary. A shrinking violet-type WILL NOT WORK. A man or woman who wants to change the tires on their car would be sublime! Or maybe work in a wood shop. Or dig holes for new plantings in their garden. He loves trimming bushes or trees, but he needs lots of supervision. Cutting things with a handsaw is one of his specialties, and so is breaking down boxes. Services needed include: companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
