About who needs care: Limited mobility. I use a walker. Can sit to wash dishes. Have a great deal of pain and weakness trying to get up from the floor or stand from a lower position or surface. Diabetic, COPD, heart patient. Husband can't stand long enough to cook healthy meals, clean house, keep up with laundry. I use 4L oxygen at rest, 6L when active. I like to sew, crochet, small crafting projects, reading, playing videogames, playing with dogs etc. About the care needs: HONESTY! Some socializing OK. Must be a good cook, experienced in a wide variety of American cuisine (i. e. Southern, country, Southwestern, TexMex, barbecue, Asian American, etc.) Should work quickly, efficiently and clean thoroughly. I have 0 tolerance for sloppy cleaning, but don't require "white glove" spotlessness. A healthy sense of humor helps, along with tolerance for profanity because Mama has a potty mouth. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and mobility assistance.
