My parents are in their 70s. My father has Parkinson's and can't walk. He sometimes struggles to speak clearly. My mother has been his full-time caregiver, but she recently had back surgery and has not fully regained her balance. We're looking for someone who can help my father transfer from bed/wheelchair/lift chair, bathroom, etc. My mother won't be able to lift anything at all for several months. In addition, my mother may need someone to watch her and assist her as she moves around the house. In addition, they'll need some help around the house including light housework and meal preparation. Their house is one level and they have ramps, bars, shower stool, etc. We are willing to get any additional equipment that would make things easier. We're looking for people who can commit to regular times each week.
