About who needs care: Stubborn. Doesn't like anything I fix for meals. Memory issues beginning. Otherwise fairly lucid. Reads. Fusses. Finally got him to do word finds. Spoiled by his wives when they were alive. Expects things to be done a certain way. His reasoning stinks. Skin spots he hates. Cold but refuses extra blankets or sweaters or heaters. He would rather complain. About the care needs: A good listener. Willing to listen to his health problems. Again and again. Patient. Don't give in to his demands. Be firm and friendly. He's 95. And 1/2. White hair. Slim. Scandinavian. Tall. Uses a walker. Comes to dinner table and back to his room. That's it. Unless it's an appt at the VA or church on Sunday. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
