About who needs care: My son was a victim of a drunk driver and has a severe brain injury. I have been caring for him for 14 yrs. he doesn't walk yet his speech is poor. working on that . he needs help with bathing he can dress himself but pretty much I do everything for him he has short memory lterm memory he is a joy to be around he's polite he just loves everybody he was like that before the accident he loves music all kinds. About the care needs: Well my son has aphasia and defasia so when eating he must be watched closely to prevent shoking. He is compulsive when eating . I would like it if they know the hymlec and CPR and our familiar with brain injury clients also have an education to help with his speech and beagle to do his stretching of his leg to prevent anymore spasticity be able to cook ect. be very positive upbeat person.
