About who needs care: Mom needs memory care, so someone familiar with that. Also she has terrible old people smell. I have bought a couple of different products like persimmon body was and lume body wash and body deodorants. She does shower every morning but either I don't think she is doing much more than getting wet, which does not help the stench. We need some one with a lot more patience and cheery disposition than I have to help her get showered and dressed in the mornings and occasionally stay with her for a few hours in an evening to give my husband and I a break. She is a sweetheart but easily confused and doesn't hear much without her hearing aids. About the care needs: Someone kind, cheerful and patient. Mom used to have lots of hobbies but seems to have lost interest. I think she would do some things if there were someone to do them with her. I have chronic pain and limited mobility myself, so the physical care is hard for me. We have a ranch house and a chair lift to the basement. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
