About who needs care: My mother has high blood pressure, diabetes type II, COPD, and walks with a walker. She likes to read, watch TV, play games on her iPad and play board games.
She only needs care when my husband and I leave town, which is generally 5 days at a time. We need to visit my husband's parents in western Nebraska every 2-3 months, so that's when we need respite care. She basically needs someone to provide her meals and snacks while we're away, and that's it.
About the care needs: We currently have an elder dog so might need someone who can also provide pet care. We don't anticipate she'll be with us much longer. :(
Mom enjoys socializing with others and has a good sense of humor, she's pretty easy to get along with.
Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
