About who needs care: My mom needs assistance to be able to stay living on her own. None of her children live close by and Dad is in the care center. She is 85 and of pretty good mind. She gets around pretty well, but could use some help with getting meals, ensuring shes eating a balanced diet, and basic household tasks. She also gets lonely.. she enjoys movies and watching all sports, especially basketball and football. Shes a good card player and keeps up with whatever news she watches on TV. She takes a few medications, but may need help sorting out or staying on schedule. About the care needs: Personality needs to be respectful - as well as have a good sense of humor. Shes old, not an invalid. She checked herself into the hospital when she had back pain after stopping to pick something up off the floor. Hospital is telling her she needs to go to care center. I told her I would look into finding someone to come stay the days with her. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
