About who needs care: mom is 90, she is as sharp as a tack, although her processing is definitely slowing a little. She recently had an internal bleed from her blood thinners. she is still recovering her strength after a stay in the hospital around Christmas time. She is fine physically but she has lost her confidence in her ability to do things alone. I am trying to build that back, I could use a hand in that. She has an essential tremor, so she shakes making her look like she has Parkinson's decease. It frustrates her because she can't always get her hands to cooperate. She is a huge knitter and quilter. She is great with computers too. About the care needs: A woman who likes crafts and knitting would be ideal but not required. Someone who might be interested in genealogy as mom likes to work on hers. Someone who can be patient with mom's slow walking and bright mind. Mom likes to walk to her craft cabin but likes someone to be near and help a little if her rollator gets caught in the grass. She just needs eyes on her for her comfort. No skilled help is needed. Services needed include: companionship.
