About who needs care: My dad would need house keeping in his one bedroom 2 bath condo. Changing the sheets keeping the kitchen tidy. Make sure he has enough food or ask if he needs a meal or snack at the time of his visit. Check on him to see if his wounds are healing etc. be able to spot treat the floor if there are any difficult urine spills. Have a chat with him for 15 minutes etc. he likes his coffee, looking out the window to his gorgeous view, chess and the news. About the care needs: Mostly needs a tidy house. Someone who could show a genuine interest in him would be best. He can tell when people couldnt be bothered or find the job to be a nuisance and it hurts his feelings. He came from England, loves sailing, had a mechanical engineering background. He needs a hearing aide in, but the care personnel should be prepared that if he doesnt have one in to either talk loudly with diction or to ask him to put his hearing aide in to communicate. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, and light housekeeping.
