About the job
About who needs care: Diabetes and neuropathy. TBI from car accident in 2016. Not sure if there is dementia but trying to revisit with neurologist. Dad is a life long golfer and typically hits at least a dozen golf balls a day in our pasture. He's a writer as well and is currently working on another book. Loves Larry Bird, Tom Brady and Bob Dylan. Enjoys mowing the lawn and trying to grow grass in a particular spot in the yard. Hes a busy body so usually builds or paints or eats or cleans things, sometimes out of boredom. Since my mom and I both work from home and travel for work at times, balancing quality time with him can be challenging. My dad doesnt have much structure these days. He starts his days at various times dependent upon need for rest. About the care needs: Someone who is willing to provide a listening ear, can help with light household duties, meal preparation, and provide insight into his behaviors. It would be great if they are willing to hit golf balls with dad and possibly run errands with him. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
