About the job
About who needs care: I have spinal muscular atrophy, a form of muscular dystrophy. I am a bit of a homebody, but I occasionally go out for groceries and appointments and other errands. I spend a lot of time at my computer at home, and then pretty laid back and like to watch movies and shows. About the care needs: I am able to mesh well with anyone but I am hopefully looking for someone who is kind, caring, and easy going. As far as specialty equipment, we have a powered Hoyer lift. There is also quite a bit of downtime throughout the day so I'm looking for a caregiver who can entertain themselves in that downtime if need be. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
