About who needs care: He has ALS and in a wheelchair. He needs help with gardening, household chores Hobbies are gardening, reading non-fiction, watching sports, especially soccer (he is English.), playing Pokémon go, and some wood working. His ideal day is get up around 7:30 and do his physical therapy and then do his morning personal clean-up. He has breakfast around 9 and lunch around 1. He then reads or writes or works Sudokus or for whatever he decides. He usually has a snack around 3 and dinner at 6 and bed at 11 p.m. Once a week he wants grocery shop. He would like to go to places he can play Pokémon go. About the care needs: A male who could talk sports and other topics. He is a PhD scientist so he has a wide range of interests and has an inquisitive mind. He is generally an introvert and his activities and hobbies he could do alone.. Hobbies are wood working, some gardening, writing short stories, reading popular science. He doesn't care for fiction. He needs help with car up-keep like tire pressure, fluid levels. He needs help changing his sheets. Since ALS is a progressive disease, over time he will need more help with daily living. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
