About who needs care: Patient is 74-year-old, female, hospice patient. She is suffering from end stage metastatic lung cancer. She also has Charcot's Disease, caused by diabetic neuropathy, and suffers from chronic broken feet. Patient is mostly bed bound, but still can assist to use bedside commode. She enjoys watching movies, talking to her loved ones, and coloring on her tablet. She is VERY pleasant, and enjoys any conversation in general. Her day consists of breakfast between 8-9 a.m. She gets her meds at 11am, 3pm, (unless sleeping). Her next med pass is after her daughter comes from work. She spends her hours watching tv, coloring, and visiting. About the care needs: Ideal caregiver would be warm and kind. Someone that is self driven and is a team player. Must be clean and tidy, and aware of infection control procedures. Must know how to utilize their time and be able to adhere to a schedule. Must be okay with dogs--patient has small inside dog Must be comfortable with medication administration Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
