My family is looking for a home care attendant for our 80-year-old mother. We are seeking someone who is skilled, compassionate, and prepared to meet her unique needs. We would like someone with a background in dementia or Alzheimer's care. The attendant must be patient and compassionate with a calm demeanor and the ability to manage repetitive questions, mood swings, and challenging behaviors. Other needs include: preparing meals, light housekeeping, mental stimulation through engaging activities, music, conversation, driving to medical appointments and to the senior center.
