About who needs care: 81-year-old woman with beginnings of demetia (short term memory right now), interested in sewing and discussing world events (from a progressive perspective) needs a talking and helping companion who can also help with some light picking up and outings here and there. A plus would be going to church on Sundays. About the care needs: A person who can speak clearly and slowly (so some lip reading can happen) and is willing to discuss liberal political happenings and just keep company for an hour or few every few days. Being willing to go out to dinner here and there would be good and getting her out to walk a little to gain some leg strength would be good. She will need prodding. Services needed include: companionship, possibly aiding with simple sewing although this is secondary in importance.
