About who needs care: A 110 pound 5foot woman, bedridden for years due to undiagnosed back and knee conditions. Fall risk starting over 1 year ago and for several months Ive become malnourished. Now, if I fall or pass out then I could suffer broken bones. I need help getting leftovers put from kitchen fridge to my mini fridge in my bedroom while my husband is working out of state, help to steady me on the potty (I can clean myself) or while washing my hands afterwards so I dont fall or pass out. It may take a few months, but once I regain some of my nourishment then once a week I will need a steady hand getting me in and out of my shower where I have a shower chair and sprayer to wash myself, no bathing needed by you. Then I will need help getting on socks and T-shirt, then taken back to bed. Once my nourishment completely returns, then I will need help getting downstairs to my mobility chair (not a wheelchair, but it only weighs 20 pounds and folds) and then taken to doctor appointments (Marietta, Austell, Atlanta for which I am open to additional compensation) to finally receive medical help. I have extremely chronic insomnia and pain. Therefore I would prefer visits to be in the late afternoon or early evenings. Due to modesty issues, I would be more comfortable with a woman. Sorry men. About the care needs: Patient and kind personality with some medical knowledge would be great. A student RN or a CNA seeking a few hours a week for late afternoon or early evening work would be a good fit. They must be background checked and bonded in writing though. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
