About who needs care: Patient is to have retina surgery of eye. Pt has to lay on stomach for 24 hours x 5 days. Pt is on the spectrum. He lives independently and is use to going out and doing for himself. The non-mobility of this is his struggle. His brother (lives in NM) and I (cousin) feel someone with him 24 hours would benefit him and the surgery to be successful. We do not have a firm date nor orders. Surely he can sit up for periods of time to eat and toilet. About the care needs: Caring and patient Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
