About who needs care: Alzheimer's. In home hospice care, is mostly in bed but sits up in chair at times. Needs meals prepared and fed to her, diaper change, assist hospice worker with baths, light housework such as washing dishes and laundry. About the care needs: My Mother needs someone that has worked with Alzheimer's patient before. Someone that will have a soft touch and is soft spoken. Not loud or bossy. Handle her with care because she is very small and cannot be pulled on or tugged on. Only moved by the use of a pull sheet, mat or mechanical lift. Someone with great patient care and knowledge of how to safely move a patient around in the bed and operate a lift to move patient from bed to chair or chair to bed when needed. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
