I'm looking for hands-on care for my special needs adult daughter, in who is in her 20s. Responsibilities include bathing, feeding, taking her out from time to time to the park, public pool, dining out, or store for light shopping. J has autism, non-verbal and can be aggressive when she doesn't get what she wants. We prefer someone with experience with handling autism and aggression (scratching, hitting, kicking). We'd like to clarify that this is on rare occasions and typically happens due to miscommunication or lack of. She is capable of understanding our world and things you tell her even though she may not seem like it (i.e: "take a shower, brush your teeth, let's go to the car", etc.) This can be a really easy job if you take the time to understand her tells and what she's trying to say. Treat her like a human, not a check.
