About who needs care: Lewy body dementia diagnosis. She is having increased difficulty moving from sitting positions to standing, eating and dressing. Memory is ok but her tremor is pronounced and she has difficulty standing tall. She is a former teacher and loves to read. She also Loves music, singing, sitting with family. Ideally she wants to be up at 8:30; dressed by 9:30 a.m. and at the breakfast table no later than 10 a.m. She must take medicine before she eats and certain meds afterwards. About the care needs: Light hearted, optimistic, encouraging and focused on doing a good job. They need to be able to do light cooking, play a few board games or memory games, and communicate effectively with my dad. Prefer a woman of color and someone who loves children as her grandchildren and great grandchildren are at the house often. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
