About who needs care: She is virtually immobile, so she needs help getting out of bed and taking the few steps from her bed to the bathroom, getting her undergarments up and down so that she can go, as well as bringing her the meals that I prepare for her, etc while I am out. About the care needs: This person must be caring, have a clean record and a good review, and not be squeamish about helping a senior go to the bathroom (i. e. comfortable with temporary nudity and occasionally with changing an elder diaper.) The ideal person would be able to stay overnight 4-6 nights per year (generally 1 to 2 nights in a row) on an agreed-upon weekend. Meals would be provided, as well as the ability to run errands, and the freedom to come and go within defined parameters during extended stays. My mother has very mild dementia (mostly just gets confused about what day/time it is) and had a stroke, making her mostly immobile and unable to use her right hand. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
