About who needs care: I have many illnesses but am almost entirely self care. I have dementia, but short term memory loss is the only issue a caregiver will have trouble with as I forget conversations. Could use help with remembering appointments, taking meds etc. If caregivers can drive me, that is a huge plus. Have disabled daughter also in home. We cannot do much housework... if you can help with this, that would be amazing. We both have periodic paralysis, mostly just suffer from episodes of extreme weakness, and tremors. My balance is bad. My dementia is a roller coaster. We both love playing computer games and chatting. I'm only 62, daughter is 33. Have a lovely, friendly dog. Only leave house for medical appointments as neither of us can walk long distances, and we hate crowds, even small ones. Enjoy one on one situations. I love crafts. About the care needs: They must realize that I am a highly intelligent woman who has been struck by dementia, but I am still very smart. I enjoy younger people. I can't stand being treated like I am old; I'm not. I can be very silly and childlike, but I'm not stupid. Person MUST be someone not offended by swearing and we are atheists, so non-religious would be best. We are super liberal, so again, someone liberal would be good. open to anyone gay, transgender, etc. Also to a man. No limits.
