Caregiver will work with an older couple in their 80's. The man was recently involved in a vehicle accident as a pedestrian and is currently rehabbing from the accident. This is a serious foot injury. The woman has early middle stage dementia. They will need help with light house keeping, taking medication, and transportation to/from appointments. Their adult children check in on them often. The ideal caregiver would prepare light meals, keep the common spaces tidy and organized, and drive them to appointments. Once rehabbed, the man will resume driving himself and the woman would need companionship at home. Ideally this position would be four hours a day twice a week, with a flexible schedule. Prepare a light meal in the morning. Pick up and straighten up common areas. Provide companionship, especially for the woman after the man is able to drive again and runs short errands leaving the woman at the house. The couple attend Church nearby. They live in NW Tallahassee. Elder care services, basic first aid and CPR, dealing with dementia, de-escalation of mood swings associated with dementia. Light housekeeping and organization skills. Making sure medication is taken regularly. The caregiver will need their own transportation and will be able to provide transportation for medical appointments initially. The couple has a medium sized dog.
