About who needs care: My grandmother is in a nursing home and could use someone to provide company to her for a few hours a week. As her granddaughter, I am her only relative and cant visit every day. I'm looking for someone to sit with her, let her talk about her day, and help her with communicating with nurses / aids where helpful. She is unable to walk, so is generally restricted to her bed. She's 91 and enjoys baseball, bingo, and doing puzzles. She was a math major and worked most of her life as a dental assistant. Hoping for someone to be with her for about 6-8 hours a week on days when I cannot be there Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
